Letim privacy policy

Effective November 4, 2026

1. Data stored on your phone

Boarding passes and everything in them: passenger name, booking reference, flight, seat, frequent flyer number, barcode. Also app settings and downloaded airline logos. This data never leaves your phone and is deleted with the boarding pass or the app.

If Android backup is turned on, the system may include app data in your own backup. It is stored in your account; we have no access to it.

2. Camera, photos and files

The camera is used only to read barcodes: frames are not saved or sent anywhere. Photos, PDFs and .pkpass files you choose to add are processed on the phone.

3. Flight status and airline logos

When “Live updates” is on, the app sends the airline code, flight number, date and departure airport to our server api.letim.space, along with the app version. The server requests public flight data from FlightStats and from public airport and airline online boards on its own behalf and returns times, gate, boarding, delay and baggage belt. For an airline logo, only the airline code is sent.

You can turn this off in Settings → “Live updates”. The app then does not contact the server.

4. What the server sees

Like any website, the server sees your phone’s IP address. It logs the IP address, time and request address, which contains the flight number and date. Logs are used to prevent abuse and fix errors, are kept for no longer than 14 days and are deleted automatically. We do not sell or share them and do not use them for advertising.

The server also keeps anonymous daily statistics: how many requests and distinct flights there were, how many answers came from online boards, response codes and times, and app versions. It contains no IP addresses. So that a flight is not counted twice, the server keeps flight hashes until the end of the day; after that only the count remains.

The server briefly caches flight responses so that the same flight is not requested many times. This data is not linked to users.

5. Google ML Kit barcode scanner

Barcodes are recognized on the phone by the Google ML Kit library. Images and barcode contents are not sent to Google. The library may send technical statistics to Google for diagnostics: device model and Android version, app version, performance metrics, error codes and a per-installation identifier that does not point to a person or a device. See Google’s disclosure.

6. Notifications

Boarding reminders and flight change alerts are created on the phone.

7. Crash reports

If the app closes because of an error, it asks whether to send a report to the developer. Only if you tap “Send”, our server receives the app and Android versions, the phone brand and model, the time of the crash and a technical description of the error (a stack trace). Boarding passes, your name, booking reference, the phone’s log and device identifiers are not included. The server keeps the report without your IP address for 90 days and uses it only to fix the error.

8. How to delete your data

Boarding passes are stored only on your phone: delete a boarding pass in the app, or delete the app. To stop the app from sending anything to the server, turn off Settings → “Live updates”.

To delete your data from our server before it expires:

  1. Email support@letim.space with the subject “Data deletion”.
  2. Include the flight number and date, and for a crash report the approximate time of the crash and your phone model. There are no accounts, so this is the only way to find your records.
  3. We will delete these records from the server logs and crash reports and reply to your email.

Without a request, server logs are deleted after 14 days and crash reports after 90 days. Anonymous daily statistics remain: they contain no IP addresses and cannot be linked to you. Google ML Kit’s technical statistics are stored by Google; we have no access to them.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date.
